 | Dear Parents;
Thank you for your interest in The Wellington School. We know that planning your child’s educational future is a very important process, and we would be delighted to help you better understand what the Wellington community has to offer.
We are a college-preparatory school with a focus on developing the habits and attitudes of world-ready citizens. All courses are challenging and individual attention is the norm. The program is structured, yet flexible. Our teachers are masters at differentiated instruction to help our students to learn in ways that speak to their strengths and interests. We celebrate each student’s joy of discovery, and we work to develop a lifelong love of learning.
We emphasize responsibility and compassion; we value cooperation and collaboration; and we strive to foster a broad perspective of the world. We celebrate the individuality of our students and encourage them to embrace diverse challenges and opportunities.
I often hear Head of School Robert Brisk talking about “genius” – not the Albert Einstein, one-in-a-billion way – but in the way the Romans understood it. To them, genius meant the spirit in all people that makes them special and helps them strive to be their best.
Wellington provides a forward-thinking learning community with a caring, connected faculty and student body. We emphasize active learning and encourage the pursuit of individual passion.
As the admissions director and a Wellington parent, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you in person about our school. Please contact me via telephone or email at your convenience. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
