“My So-Called Enemy” – April 25
Join us on Wednesday, April 25 for a new addition to our Enrichment Series as we screen the award-winning documentary “My So-Called Enemy” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Thomas Family Dining Room. Film Director Lisa Gossels will be on-hand for a discussion after the screening.
The film documents the relationship of six Palestinian, Israeli and Palestinian-Israeli teenagers who first meet at a women’s leadership program in the United States in 2002. We watch how the transformative experience of knowing their “enemies” as human beings meets with the realities of their lives in the Middle East over a period of seven years. Through the coming-of-age narratives of the six girls, we see how creating relationships across personal, political and physical borders is a first step toward resolving conflict.
