Healthy body + healthy mind = healthy student.

We believe that education and health are intrinsically linked. Children and adolescents live in a complex, fast-paced world that exposes them to significant health risks. Research indicates that these health risks impact student achievement. Our Wellness program centers on the whole child: their physical, mental, and emotional wellness that impacts their daily life.

Health Services

Wellington recognizes that academic success requires a comprehensive school health program that is a cooperative and creative effort between students, faculty, staff, parents, school administrators, and the community. Wellington’s comprehensive Health Services program is the total consideration of all school activities that may affect the interest of the students’ health. The components of that program are:

  • Health education
  • Health services
  • Healthy school environment
  • School counseling
  • Physical education
  • Food services

Nutrition

We believe in the adage of “garbage in, garbage out” so we’re serious about good nutrition. Our lunches and snacks are healthy, providing our students with high quality fuel and nutrients that are critical to optimizing their academic performance.
