Gratefulness and Grace

POSTED BY The Wellington School ON November 30, 2017 IN

Heartfelt expressions of gratitude, joyful seasonal songs, and ugly sweaters made the annual Thanksgiving assembly truly memorable. Assistant Head of School and Head of Upper School Dr. Jeff Terwin emceed the event with Senior Class President Lizzie Chester ‘18, both adorned in matching festive attire. Students gave thanks in multiple languages as well heights when middle schoolers shared their gratefulness in Latin, French, and Spanish, and 1st graders read poems of praise. Musical performances by the orchestra, band, and choir also set a lovely tone for the upcoming holiday. The special gathering was brought to a resounding close when the entire school sang “Over the River and Through the Woods.” It was a warmhearted Wellington send-off to Thanksgiving.
