Micro Mini Makes Last Year

POSTED BY The Wellington School ON September 13, 2018 IN ,

Monumental moments can sometimes come in small places with even smaller refreshments. A tradition that began when Head of School Robert Brisk P ‘13 ‘15 first came to Wellington 11 years ago, the Senior Class Micro Mini Reception is an opportunity for leaders in the community to impart the upcoming graduates with sage advice, or five words of wisdom to be exact. Sixty members of the Class of 2019 joined Mr. Brisk in his office along with guest speakers from the school community. The speeches were  as succinct as they were profound, giving seniors much food for thought as they enjoyed tiny treats in celebration of their fantastic final year at Wellington.

“Let’s make our last year…” – Robert Brisk P ‘13 ‘15, head of school

“Avoid college essays on Fortnite.” – Jeff Terwin, associate head of school and head of upper school

“Cool, but not too cool.” – Drew Eberly, senior class dean

“Can’t believe it’s actually here.” – Aaron Frim P ‘19, upper school dean of students, and Jennifer Frim P ‘19, assistant director of technology

“If you be, it will.” – John Kadlic P ‘19 ‘21, board of trustees

“Leap and the net will appear.” – Jennifer Vegas P ‘19 ‘22 ‘26, board of trustees

“This is not your peak.” –  Soleil Tibbets-Barnes ‘19, student council president
