The Wellington School Named 2018 Top Workplace by Columbus CEO

POSTED BY The Wellington School ON May 15, 2018 IN ,

The Wellington School is pleased to announce we have been named a 2018 Top Workplace by Columbus C.E.O. magazine. For the sixth straight year, Wellington has been recognized by our faculty and staff as an organization that makes them feel valued and empowered to change the face of independent education.

The Top Workplace awards were based entirely on feedback provided by more than 19,000 central Ohio employees in an anonymous survey administered by third party research partner Energage, LLC. Participants were asked questions related to work-life balance, alignment of values, confidence in leadership, encouragement to try new ideas, feeling their voice is heard, as well as pay and benefits. Examples of comments made by Wellington employees included the following:

  • I am working with such inspiring and motivating coworkers.
  • I get to try things, and I get inspired by the amazing things my colleagues try.
  • I feel supported, valued, and encouraged to think outside the box to teach in my classroom.
  • I am respected as a professional. I am encouraged to grow. I am surrounded by students and faculty who inspire me.
  • I have balance between work and home, and my work is valued. I have the opportunity to be heard when I offer an opinion or feedback.
  • I am working with such inspiring and motivating coworkers.

Wellington faculty and staff thrive, just as our students do, in an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and engagement. It is intrinsic to our commitment to being leaders in education and preparing our students to be leaders in their own right.

“Our school inspires teachers to challenge uniformity and standardization in education,” Head of School Robert Brisk said. “Each year we have received the Top Workplace award, Wellington has been rated the highest in embracing new ideas. That distinction truly sets us apart from other schools. It shows we are dedicated to creating a learning environment that is not only deeply engaging for students but faculty and staff as well. We cannot effectively help students find their passions without first encouraging our employees to do the same.”

Thank you to all our hard-working faculty and staff for making Wellington a top place to work in Columbus!
