Bring the whole family to Wellington on Saturday, February 25, from noon to 3 p.m. to enjoy the fifth annual Arts Fest. The day’s festivities will include a variety of hands-on art booths, a student talent show, a marketplace offering student creations, and gourmet food trucks. Thank you to the 2017 Arts Fest committee for all of their hard work in organizing this special event.
Express your creativity at all of these hands-on art booths:
The workshop is an area specifically designed for 4th grade, middle school, and upper school students. Participants can experience an aerial art workshop with Movement Arts, metal stamping with The Smithery, and screen printing shirts with OSU printmakers. Thank you to The Smithery for their in-kind donation.
Calling all student entertainers! The talent show is an opportunity for Wellington’s creative and talented students to perform their best song, dance, comedy routine, juggling act, dramatic oration, yo-yo tricks, jump-rope, yodeling, lip syncing, magic act, guitar playing, poetry reading, or other unique performance. Click here to sign up for your performance (3 minutes or less).
Calling all budding entrepreneurs! The marketplace provides an opportunity for student artists and budding entrepreneurs to sell their handmade items or promote their personal services in a fun, low-key, self-driven setting. Students of all ages are invited to participate. Click here to sign up today!
Volunteers are needed to set up, work the registration table, help with the hands-on art booths, and tear down. Your passion to help Wellington is greatly appreciated and will make the Arts Fest a huge success. Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
