Update Center: COVID-19 Travel Restrictions

Wellington administration is actively monitoring the outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please check this page regularly for updates.

Self-Quarantine for Recent Travelers

Student travelers returning from Warning Level 3 countries will be asked to observe a 14-day period of self-quarantine and monitoring. Self-reporting and self-quarantine will be required of faculty and staff. During this period, you would not be permitted to come to work, attend class or participate in any other campus or community activities.

Students, faculty or staff who need assistance with these restrictions can contact conkle@wellington.org.

The school will work with anyone impacted by the restrictions to identify the appropriate accommodations for completing academic work or attendance for employment.

Personal Travel

The school will require all faculty, staff and students to report their planned or recent travel to Warning Level 3 countries to conkle@wellington.org so that we can offer proper accommodations for work and for learning.

Travelers returning from Warning Level 3 countries will be asked to observe a 14-day period of self-quarantine and monitoring. During this period, you will not be permitted to come to work, attend class or participate in any other campus or community activities.

For personal travel, we strongly advise all students, faculty and staff to follow travel alerts from the CDC and U.S. Department of State. The situation in any particular travel destination can change quickly, including while you are on a trip.

Reporting Requirements

For those faculty and staff with personal travel to countries to a Warning Level 3, reporting will be required so that we can offer proper accommodations for work and for learning.

As we continue to monitor the guidance from local, state, and federal public health officials, we ask that all Wellington employees follow the official recommendation of the U.S. Department of State and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) before, during and after their travels. The health and safety of you, our students and the broader Wellington community is our top priority.

Please be advised that all employees of Wellington will be required to complete a self-report if you have traveled, domestic and international, over Spring Break 2020. Understanding that we are all responsible in keeping the spread of COVID-19 infection low in our communities, we rely on you for accurate self-reporting, self-care and when necessary, self-quarantine.

Please be advised that if you choose to travel to a country or zone with a Level 3 Travel Notice, that you agree to not return to work while following CDC self-quarantine recommendations. Please be assured that Wellington will work with you to make alternate arrangements.

Access the Wellington self-reporting questionnaire by contacting conkle@wellington.orgAll information gathered through this process will remain confidential.
