Wellington is thrilled to announce the induction of the 2018 boys tennis team into The Wellington School Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2018 team achieved a historic milestone by securing the school's first team state championship in tennis, exemplifying the pinnacle of athletic excellence and embodying the core values of perseverance, sportsmanship, and unity.

Team State Champions: In the team state final, Wellington faced Cincinnati Indian Hill. The match was highlighted by the doubles team’s victory, where Connor and Milan overcame their opponents with set scores of 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. Additionally, Trevor Ball and Adam Sorrels secured wins at second and third singles, respectively, solidifying the team's overall triumph.
Doubles State Champions: Connor and Griffin Biernat captured the Division II doubles state championship.
Singles State Runner-Up: Trevor Ball's impressive performance earned him a runner-up finish in the Division II singles bracket.
Under the guidance of Coach Tom Haddow, who has been instrumental in elevating the tennis program since 2010, the team cultivated a culture of mutual support and relentless pursuit of excellence. Their success not only brought pride to The Wellington School but also set a benchmark for future athletes.
In recognition of their unprecedented accomplishments and the indelible mark they've left on Wellington's athletic history, we are honored to induct the 2018 boys tennis team into The Wellington School Athletic Hall of Fame.
The team will be formally recognized during Wellington’s Alumni Celebration on Friday, April 17, held on campus. The program will begin at 6 p.m. and bring together alumni, families, and members of the Wellington community to celebrate alumni achievements and connections. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by April 8.
