During her time at Manhattan School of Music, Anna embraced every opportunity to perform and expand her artistic horizons. She realized that her passion for storytelling extended beyond the stage, leading her to explore acting in television and film.
Anna's dedication and hard work have landed her a role in the feature film "So Long, Farewell." The film, set in the fictional town of Crestwood, Wisconsin, follows a group of early twenty-somethings as they reunite for a classmate's funeral and reminisce about their high school days. Anna's commitment to the project is grounded in her belief in its powerful message about change, memories, and relationships.
Settling in New York City, Anna continues to live her dream with unwavering determination. The Wellington Impact: Anna's journey into the world of acting began long before she started at Wellington in 9th grade; however, under the mentorship of Mr. Glover, Anna was entrusted to take the spotlight with leadership roles on and off the stage. Being part of helping build the theatre community at Wellington was one of her most meaningful experiences. She recalls her time at Wellington fondly, crediting the supportive and inclusive theatre community for pushing her out of her comfort zone and helping her grow as an artist. "My time at Wellington truly aided in making me the creative I am today. I believe that the theatre community at Wellington, particularly the efforts of Mr. Glover, expanded what I knew to be true about myself as an artist and gave me the opportunity to flourish and grow my abilities and understanding of my creative passion. I am so grateful to have had Mr. Glover as a mentor, someone who challenges students to reach their fullest potential and believes in them with his whole heart. I can’t thank him enough for the incredible role he’s played in my journey and how much I owe him for empowering me to be the artist I am today. The memories I made at Wellington, I wouldn’t trade for the world. I think back on that time really fondly and am proud of the art we got to create in the community. During my time there, theatre was expansive, including many people who found their place elsewhere but felt curious about theatre. In Wellington theatre, everyone can come together to dive into that creative outlet. Everyone has a place, and everyone is wanted. I think my time at Wellington pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me a more confident person, one able to face new challenges with minimal apprehension and continue to chase my dreams.”
