Editor's note: Director of Athletics Dr. Nick Williams shares the story behind Wellington Athletics' new brand identity and what it represents for the future of the program.
Dear Wellington Community,
We are incredibly excited to introduce the new Wellington Athletics brand.
Our new visual identity reflects the pride, passion, competitive spirit, and sense of community that define Wellington Athletics. While honoring the traditions that have shaped our program, it also represents the exciting future we are building together. More than just a set of logos, this brand is a symbol of our commitment to providing an exceptional student-athlete experience and continuing to elevate Wellington Athletics for generations to come.
This new brand was not created in isolation. Throughout the process, we sought thoughtful feedback from across the Wellington community, including current student-athletes, coaches, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, and school leadership. Their perspectives, ideas, and passion for Wellington Athletics helped shape a brand that authentically represents who we are. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in the process and helped bring this vision to life. This brand truly belongs to our entire Wellington community.
As the school year begins, you'll gradually begin to see our new athletics identity come to life throughout campus—from our athletic facilities and competition venues to uniforms, apparel, signage, and digital platforms. We are also excited to share that our official Wellington Athletics Sideline Store is now open and includes apparel featuring our new brand for the whole family. We can't wait to see our community proudly representing Wellington Athletics both on campus and beyond.
Since joining Wellington, I've had the opportunity to experience firsthand what makes this community so special. The pride our student-athletes, coaches, and families bring to Wellington Athletics every day has made this first chapter of my time here incredibly rewarding, and I'm excited for everything still to come. The momentum surrounding Wellington Athletics continues to grow, and I look forward to seeing our student-athletes, coaches, families, alumni, and fans unite behind this new chapter.
