A Message from Holly Fidler, Head of Lower School

The Wellington Lower School is a place of curiosity, creativity, and community! Wellington's mission is to help children discover who they are, where they are within the context of a global community, and what they are passionate about bringing into the world.

The joy of learning grows at Wellington as children become more creative, self-aware, and independent through foundational social-emotional skill building and rich learning experiences across the curriculum. Whether gardening in our outdoor classroom spaces, on the stage for a grade-level play, or playing together during a brain break, children learn what it means to be themselves and to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Wellington was founded on a tradition of exploration, collaboration, and innovation. These are the very features that our highly qualified and deeply dedicated teachers model for children daily. Our curriculum incorporates best pedagogical practices and thoughtful approaches to instruction, which establish a safe and secure atmosphere for students to take calculated risks, make mistakes, take responsibility, and learn from their experiences.

I invite you to earn more about the Wellington experience and how we support children in finding their purpose and realizing their potential.

Sincerely,

Holly Moten Fidler
