The Wellington School is proud to announce the appointment of Rachel Yantis as its new Chief Advancement Officer, effective July 1, 2025. Yantis brings more than two decades of experience in communications, fundraising, and relationship-building across nonprofit, education, and mission-driven organizations. With professional acumen and meaningful alignment with Wellington's values, she will strengthen the community by deepening relationships and advancing the school toward its fullest potential.
Yantis joins Wellington from Advocate Creative, a design agency serving nonprofits and foundations, where she served as Director of Strategy & Client Experience. Prior to that, she held dual roles at Baker Demonstration School in Wilmette, Illinois — first as Director of Advancement, then as Director of Communication & Community Engagement — where she led fundraising and communications efforts for nearly four years. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of RISE International, NFP, a nonprofit that has built more than 200 primary schools in rural Angola, Africa, providing access to education for over 146,000 students annually.
Yantis holds a BA in Communication from Hope College and an MA in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
