Elizabeth Bernard
Interim Assistant Director of College Counseling
Many members of the Wellington community already know Ms. Bernard as a former colleague and longtime parent. After several years in higher education, she served as Associate Director of College Counseling at Wellington from 2013 to 2015 and has remained active in the community ever since, most recently as the mother of Will Bernard, Class of 2026. She returns to the college counseling team this year while Ivy Mitchell is on maternity leave.
Kay Black
Lower School Lead Teacher - Grade 3
Ms. Black taught internationally in Honduras for seven years, teaching second, third, and fourth grades and leading learning support for grades 4–6. She most recently taught fifth grade and prekindergarten in the Columbus area. Ms. Black is delighted to join the Wellington team.
Caroline Blosser
Upper School English and History Teacher
Ms. Blosser has taught and led in diverse settings for more than a decade, including as a middle school English teacher in Japan and as a program director for a Columbus-area high school. A recent graduate of divinity school, she comes to Wellington from St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, where she served as chaplain. Her broad background in theology and literature will make her a valuable addition to both the history and English departments.
Kevin Coll
Upper School English Teacher
Mr. Coll joins Wellington from Green Farms Academy, where he most recently taught English. He brings a rich history of leadership and teaching excellence, having served as an upper school director, associate head of school, and writing center director, among other roles. Mr. Coll also brings deep experience in course development and student-centered learning to the Wellington community.
Erin Davis
Lower School Lead Teacher - Prekindergarten
Ms. Davis most recently taught first grade at Clintonville Academy and brings more than 10 years of prekindergarten experience to her new role. She began her career at Wellington many years ago, and the community is delighted to welcome her back.
Nate Dennison
Lower School Lead Teacher - Grade 4
Mr. Dennison has spent his career in independent schools both internationally and in the U.S., serving in a variety of lower school administrative roles as well as the classroom. He is eager to return to teaching and to become part of the Wellington community.
Juliet Donnelly
Middle School English Teacher and 8th Grade Advisor
Ms. Donnelly holds a B.A. in English from Ohio Wesleyan University, an M.Ed. in English education from The Ohio State University, and a master's degree in English from Ohio University. She has taught both middle and high school English, most recently at Columbus Arts and Technology Academy, where she also taught creative writing. The hiring committee was struck by her depth of content knowledge and her track record of building supportive, high-expectation classroom communities.
L'Tanya Evans
Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Childhood and Lower School
Returning to Wellington after nearly three decades, L'Tanya Evans joins the admissions team as Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Childhood and Lower School. Most recently, Ms. Evans served as Interim Director of Enrollment at Canterbury School of Florida, bringing more than 35 years of experience in independent schools and higher education.
Ms. Evans previously served as Wellington's Director of College Counseling from 1990 to 1996 and is excited to begin a new chapter supporting the school's youngest learners and their families. Her extensive experience in enrollment, educational leadership, and relationship building will help families feel welcomed, informed, and supported from their very first connection with Wellington.
Marty Frazier
Head of Upper School
Marty Frazier joins Wellington as Head of Upper School after serving as Dean of Faculty and an upper school English teacher at Hathaway Brown School in Cleveland, Ohio. An experienced educator and academic leader, Mr. Frazier has led initiatives in faculty development, curriculum, mentoring, and hiring while remaining deeply connected to the classroom.
Originally from Central Ohio, Mr. Frazier is passionate about creating joyful, challenging learning environments where students and teachers thrive. His commitment to curiosity, meaningful relationships, and innovative teaching reflects Wellington's vision for the future of upper school education.
Lauren Gilliam
Lower School WIRED Teacher
Ms. Gilliam is a science educator and certified athletic trainer with eight years of classroom experience across grade levels. Her teaching is grounded in hands-on inquiry, and she has a demonstrated ability to make science and technology-based learning accessible and engaging for younger learners. In addition to teaching WIRED, she will help articulate and support the technology and design thinking curriculum from Little Jags through grade 12.
Jasmine Hsu
Middle School Social Studies Teacher and 5th Grade Advisor
Ms. Hsu holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Purdue University, with minors in history and business management and a certificate in public policy. She has taught English and social studies in grades 4 through 10. Throughout the interview process, she impressed the hiring committee with her strong alignment with Wellington's mission and values and her clear commitment to building a classroom culture of high challenge and high support.
Dr. Ben Johnson
Middle School Spanish Teacher and 5th Grade Advisor
Dr. Johnson comes to Wellington from Columbus Academy, where he spent the past five years teaching Spanish in both the upper and lower schools. He holds a Ph.D., an M.Phil., and an M.A. in Spanish from Columbia University, as well as a B.A. in Spanish and philosophy from Miami University. He impressed the hiring committee with his extraordinary depth of knowledge and his passion for making world language learning dynamic, engaging, and relevant to students' lives.
Lily Perkins
Upper School English Teacher
Ms. Perkins brings significant experience in education and curriculum design, including work as a graduate assistant in philosophy at Ohio State and as a camp coordinator and instructor. She most recently taught English at the Arts and College Preparatory Academy in Columbus. A philosopher by training, she will teach American literature-focused courses this year, where she is already developing new approaches and texts.
Amanda Ulloa-Sellers
Middle School Latin Teacher and 7th Grade Advisor
Ms. Ulloa-Sellers recently completed an M.A. in classical studies at Texas Tech University, where she taught Latin and Greek to undergraduate students. She also holds a B.A. in communication and classical studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is passionate about making Latin engaging, accessible, and meaningful for all learners and looks forward to helping students discover connections between the ancient world and their own lives.
Rachel Yantis P '31
Chief Advancement Officer
Rachel Yantis P '31 joins Wellington as Chief Advancement Officer, bringing more than 20 years of experience in communications, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, Ms. Yantis served as Director of Strategy & Client Experience at Advocate Creative after previously leading advancement and communications at Baker Demonstration School in Wilmette, Illinois.
Ms. Yantis believes strong relationships are the foundation of thriving communities. Her collaborative approach and experience connecting people around a shared mission will strengthen engagement with alumni, families, and friends while advancing Wellington toward its fullest potential.
