As Wellington prepares for the 2026-27 school year, we are pleased to welcome three accomplished leaders whose experience, vision, and commitment to education will strengthen our community and help shape the future of the school.
While additional faculty and staff will join the community in August, these July 1 appointments represent the first wave of new hires for the 2026-27 school year.
From upper school leadership to advancement and admissions, each brings valuable experience, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to supporting students, families, and colleagues. We are excited to welcome them to Wellington.
Marty Frazier
Head of Upper School
Marty Frazier joins Wellington as Head of Upper School after serving as Dean of Faculty and an upper school English teacher at Hathaway Brown School in Cleveland, Ohio. An experienced educator and academic leader, Mr. Frazier has led initiatives in faculty development, curriculum, mentoring, and hiring while remaining deeply connected to the classroom.
Originally from Central Ohio, Mr. Frazier is passionate about creating joyful, challenging learning environments where students and teachers thrive. His commitment to curiosity, meaningful relationships, and innovative teaching reflects Wellington's vision for the future of upper school education.
Rachel Yantis P '31
Chief Advancement Officer
Rachel Yantis P '31 joins Wellington as Chief Advancement Officer, bringing more than 20 years of experience in communications, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, Ms. Yantis served as Director of Strategy & Client Experience at Advocate Creative after previously leading advancement and communications at Baker Demonstration School in Wilmette, Illinois.
Ms. Yantis believes strong relationships are the foundation of thriving communities. Her collaborative approach and experience connecting people around a shared mission will strengthen engagement with alumni, families, and friends while advancing Wellington toward its fullest potential.
L'Tanya Evans
Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Childhood and Lower School
Returning to Wellington after nearly three decades, L'Tanya Evans joins the admissions team as Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Childhood and Lower School. Most recently, Ms. Evans served as Interim Director of Enrollment at Canterbury School of Florida, bringing more than 35 years of experience in independent schools and higher education.
Ms. Evans previously served as Wellington's Director of College Counseling from 1990 to 1996 and is excited to begin a new chapter supporting the school's youngest learners and their families. Her extensive experience in enrollment, educational leadership, and relationship building will help families feel welcomed, informed, and supported from their very first connection with Wellington.
Together, these appointments reflect Wellington's continued investment in exceptional people who strengthen every stage of the student and family experience. We are excited to welcome Marty, Rachel, and L'Tanya to the Wellington community and look forward to the leadership, expertise, and care they will bring in the year ahead.
