Wellington Mattering Index
Introducing The Wellington Mattering Index
The Wellington Mattering Index measures how connected students feel to their class and the extent to which they believe they contribute to it. Students place a dot for each of their classes on the Mattering Grid to share their sense of connection and contribution, and this feedback is instantly available to teachers and administrators.
At the intersection of high connection and high contribution, we find mattering. Through the Wellington Mattering Index, schools can see which classrooms, teachers, and students are experiencing the highest levels of mattering, as well as identify students who may be feeling isolated or overlooked. This data helps schools provide timely support and foster learning communities grounded in mattering.
