Dear Wellington Community,
Your investment in Wellington’s students and educators through gifts to The Wellington Fund reflects your belief in our mission and your confidence in our future. Annual giving fuels the innovative, student-centered experiences that define a Wellington education and ensure our continued impact.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,410,787 during the 2025–26 school year, and achieved 100% participation from our Board, Staff, and Faculty, 68% participation among parents, and continued engagement with our alumni.
I am so grateful for the many ways that this community invests in our students and educators every day. A special thank you to the Resource Committee, The Wellington Fund Committee, and our development team.
While this report focuses on our annual giving, I would be remiss not to mention the incredible leadership giving we had this school year for our capital and endowment campaigns totaling over $15M. You will hear more about these efforts in the year ahead from Chief Advancement Officer, Rachel Yantis, and me.

Giving at a Glance
Gifts to The Wellington Fund included support for this year’s funding priorities - General Mission Support, Tuition Assistance, and Advancing Professional Learning - as well as transformational gifts, restricted gifts, contributions to Wellington’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), endowment gifts, planned gifts, and gifts to the WPA Staffulty Appreciation Fund. The chart below illustrates how philanthropic support was distributed across these giving opportunities.
As the chart shows, the largest share of philanthropic support (42%) was directed toward this year’s funding priorities. While this percentage is lower than in a typical year, it reflects the extraordinary transformational gifts received to enhance campus security, which accounted for 41% of total giving. In addition, contributions to Wellington’s Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) more than doubled in the program’s second year, benefiting the School and expanding the tuition assistance available to current and future Wellington students.
A key focus of The Wellington Fund this year was broadening participation across the community. Wellington achieved 100% philanthropic participation from its faculty and staff and Board of Trustees, while 68% of current parents made a gift. Each of these participation rates exceeds the latest NAIS benchmarks and demonstrates the community’s shared commitment to Wellington’s mission.
Leadership-level philanthropy also continued to grow. During the 2025–26 school year, membership in the Founders and Leadership Societies increased by 22%, from 78 to 94 families. Together, these generous donors accounted for 88% of all gifts to The Wellington Fund, underscoring the critical role leadership giving plays in advancing the School’s mission.
Your 2025–26 Impact
Tuition Assistance
Your support for Tuition Assistance ensured that no family’s Wellington experience was interrupted due to financial hardship. In the 2025-26 school year, hardship assistance was provided to 14 Wellington families. In addition, gifts made the OAIS Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) significantly increased the funds available for various avenues of assistance, making a Wellington education more accessible for more families.
General Mission Support
Gifts directed to General Mission Support touched every corner of campus. Wellington added a new van to its transportation fleet, expanding morning pickup routes and supporting after-school athletics transportation, while also creating greater flexibility for small-group trips. In-classroom technology was standardized across all classrooms, equipping every teacher with the same high-quality tablet screens and ensuring that no student's experience is defined by the room they happen to be in. Outdoor learning spaces were meaningfully expanded, with new seating, storage, and an extended walking trail. Campus infrastructure also improved with upgraded sidewalks designed to ease middle school carline flow — creating a safer, more functional environment for students and families.
Advancing Professional Learning
Gifts made to Advancing Professional Learning will have a direct impact on Wellington's faculty in the year ahead. Professional development funding secured this year will expand opportunities for our teachers to grow, collaborate, and bring new skills and perspectives back to their students.
Alongside these improvements, transformational giving from our community significantly strengthened campus security — expanding human capacity, technological infrastructure, and training to better protect the students and educators at the heart of our community.

The Legacy Society represents individuals who have made a planned gift to Wellington. This support ensures that tomorrow’s students will have continued access to world-class faculty and innovative curriculum in an environment that welcomes curiosity and stirs passion for learning. All planned gifts will go toward The Wellington School Endowment Fund unless otherwise designated.
